This collection contains papers collected by Hial B. Gernert during his career in the oil field. Papers and other material dates from 1953 to 1966. Many of Gernert's papers reflect his membership in the Rocky Mountain Petroleum Pioneers of which there are also photographs of. His papers also include certificates, industry publications, pages from a photo album, and a scrapbook. Many of the articles in the scrapbook pertain to Gernert's career.
